Tribute to Janet Edwards, 1946 - 2026

Janet was a wonderful nurse and colleague who was an inspirational and truly caring of both her patients and her colleagues. I had the privilege of spending time with Janet when she was in the nursing home home and we shared many happy memories with laughter and tears.She will be remembered fondly by all the staff at Kingston Hospital who were lucky to have worked with Janet and shared her wisdom ,friendship and expertise I will be thinking of her family in the coming difficult days but will always remember her fondly

Janet , my sister ,eleven years younger than I, I'm living on memories of our days in Derby, little adventures and holidays with parents, meeting her school day girl friends, and hearing about her kindness and care in her nursing work, the few words shortly before she passed on. So sorry to lose you . your brother Tony

Janet you were an amazing Ward Sister, compassionate and caring to the patients and staff. I never minded working when Janet was on shift, she had a lovely friendly manner and always helped out. She was very knowledgeable and I feel very honoured to have worked with her.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
